Enlisted Money is a “by us, for us” project. This isn’t a gimmick, this isn’t a pity party, and this isn’t catered to people who already have money to play with. Enlisted Money is for all the service members who want to be victors in their financial lives. It’s for Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen, Marines, Guardians, and Coast Guardsmen who want to live a good life and serve on their terms.
Make the Military Need You More Than You Need the Military
Many times, we start out really needing the pay and benefits that military service provides. Many of us have used the tools in service to build a better life for ourselves and our families. Yet, sometimes it feels like we just can’t quite “make it.” We can see financial freedom around us, but it seems like its just out of reach.
It seems we end up too busy to research all these confusing things about money. We mean to schedule appointments to get financial help and advice. However, those services are only available while we’re at work ourselves. Who wants to tell their supervisor they need to skip work to go speak with the financial counselor on base?
If you make the time to get the basics covered, you can get to a point where you can honestly say, “The military needs me much more than I need the military.” It’s a truly liberating feeling. Having the financial security to walk away from the military shifts the power into your hands. When you get to the end of your enlistment, you’ll be able to re-up on your terms or throw up the middle finger and never look back – the power and choice will truly be yours next time.
It’s Too Late for Me
Uh, no – it’s never too late! No branch of the service glorifies quitting and neither do we – at least not quitting on the things worth pursuing.
No matter where you are now, you can create a better life for yourself and your family. You just have to choose to make a change and take control of your own destiny. At Enlisted Money, we believe in taking action and pressing forward toward your goals no matter how impossible things might seem.
Don’t get us wrong, you have to be realistic with expectations. We’re not going to make you a millionaire in 6 weeks. However, we promise you can be in a better place financially with a few simple changes.
